On this week's episode:
The Legality Of Abortion

Abortion rights protesters marched on the Statehouse this week to denounce a flurry of anti-abortion laws passed in Ohio and around the country. Legal abortion faces these new attacks in part because the U.S. Supreme Court has a clear five-justice conservative majority after the appointments of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.

Those new appointments have given anti-abortion groups new hope of overturning "Roe v. Wade," something Ohio activists made explicit with the recent "heartbeat" abortion ban.

Snollygoster Of The Week

Ohio House Republicans sparked controversy with a bill to bail out two aging nuclear power plants. Energy industry lobbyists have funded House GOP campaigns but legislators deny undue influence.

While the bill is still ostensibly a "clean energy" bill, it now may include money for two coal-fired power plants, and an amended version removes wind and solar from the types of energy eligible for clean energy credits.
